APL Career
Ibrahim Zadran is in the Balkh Zwanan squad for APL T20 2026, as the franchise's Afghan Icon and captain.
Ibrahim Zadran captains Balkh Zwanan, with Mickey Arthur as head coach and Tillakaratne Dilshan as mentor. He is an opening batter by trade, which matters in a league whose only completed season was won and lost on Sharjah surfaces that rewarded anyone who could start an innings.
He was not a leaderboard name in 2018. Treating him as heir to Mohammad Nabi's Balkh Legends side would be a category error. Different club, different decade, no shared matches.
Balkh picked second in the Platinum round on 3 November 2026 and took Moeen Ali. Zadran's squad also includes AM Ghazanfar, Luke Wood, Gulbadin Naib and Qais Ahmad, per the ACB's draft release.
