APL Career
Mohammad Shahzad is in the Kandahar Warriors squad for APL T20 2026, picked in the Silver category at the player draft in Dubai on 3 November 2026.
Mohammad Shahzad scored 344 runs for Paktia Panthers in 2018, more than anyone else in the tournament. The next three were Hazratullah Zazai (322), Chris Gayle (315) and Laurie Evans (305). Shahzad's lead was real, and it was not quite a canyon.
Panthers finished second and lost the semi-final, bowled out for 102. The leading run-scorer's team did not reach the final. That is a useful reminder when 2026 fantasy talk starts treating volume of runs as a title predictor.
Kandahar Warriors picked him in the Silver category at the 3 November 2026 draft, according to the ACB's squad list. His 2018 runs were for Paktia Panthers, a different club.
