Every confirmed 2018 APL match that this site can place was in Sharjah. The final was at Sharjah Cricket Stadium on 21 October, starting 20:00 in the scorecard's day-night listing. Umpires that night were Anil Chaudhary of India and Ahmed Shah Pakteen of Afghanistan. Kabul Zwanan won the toss, batted, and made 132 for 9. Balkh Legends chased it in 18.1 overs.

The ground has a long T20 memory beyond one Afghan season: short boundaries by Test standards, evening dew in some months, and totals that can look ordinary until a batter decides they are not. The 2018 APL showed both moods. Balkh Legends made 244 for 6 against Kabul Zwanan on 14 October. Nangarhar Leopards were 64 all out in a semi-final five days later. Same city, same ground, two different matches. Anyone writing a single 'Sharjah is a batting pitch' line is flattening the month.

For 2026 the board and the league have said the season will be played at ICC-approved venues in the UAE. They have not, in the sources checked on 3 November 2026, named Sharjah, Dubai or Abu Dhabi as the grounds. This page does not promote Sharjah from '2018 host' to '2026 host'.

How to reach the ground, ticket gates and bag rules change by event. Use the stadium operator and the official APL ticket channel once one exists. This site will not invent a gate number.
